Goddess of my half part

a poem by Amresh Vashisht

The lady is a jewel that cannot be replaced
She outshines any diamond and always there for me

The lady is like an emerald that sparkles in the night.
And in my hour of darkness, she leads me to the light.

The lady is a pearl, the best I’ve ever seen.
Like a ruby in the desert, she shines that bright to me.

The lady is my treasure, the rarest wealth I’ve found.
She makes my heart beat faster and head spins around.

A part of me has grown in her, and, so it’s we from her and me
Forever and never apart, may be in distance but never in heart.

The lady thinks with her heart, speaks with her soul
My heart, my life, my soul!. she has the key to them all

I am not spending my life with her as I can live with her
I am spending it with her, as I can’t live without her

Earlier I say, “I love her because I need her.”
Now I say “I need her because I love her.”

We have two souls with but a single thought,
Two hearts that beat as one pulse.

My lady is a jewel; she brings these rags to life.
I said she is a jewel and the lady is my wife.
