a poem by Susan Abraham

Cyberspace is a magician who
With a sleight of hand conjures up
New marvellous worlds with magic carpets
Floating here and there taking you
To realms unheard of before.
The genie appears every time you
Move the mouse which is an Aladdin’s lamp
And grants you the boon
You have been wishing for.

But it is also the cobweb
Which traps you and entangles you
Till you have time for nothing else
And the curse of the cyberspace is upon you.
