The girl named Shanny

a poem by Padmini

There was this cute girl named Shanny
She was always found with her nanny
Who also wore her precious pearls
Whose hair was surely browny

One day as I was walking
On my way with my friend talking
I heard of incidents shocking
About the girl all over my town rocking

She had an affair with a Clay
Who was found very friendly and gay
With great love they swayed
Until at last goodbye she bade

For he had no money
To pay her for her bunny
She made him look funny
For he was with no penny

She asked him to earn a lot of money
For with him she’ll marry
The one who had a lot of money
The one who could give her every of his penny

Now she stands an old hag
With cheeks all a sag
With no one to nag
With no one to love the poor hag
