The Journey

a poem by Maryse Saldanha

Different faces different races
Together we come each day
Some we befriend many we do not
Together we embark on our way

Each has a different destination
At each moment some join, some leave
But the journey goes on here it doesn’t end
Halt! Alright! Proceed!

Move on move forth, further I go
Be you on time or delayed right on we go
Day after day, end after end
With time all goes on, it never ends

Its another day of our daily run
I get on the train even as it runs
I look for a seat, the thoughts then run
I turn to observe and watch all who come

I see them faces everyday
Each geared up for work now another day
Some see delight some see furor
Nevertheless they together explore

The journey of life takes us thru
Different pathways differing views
Hear them all, then some embrace
Move on, move forth, don’t stop
