The Disappearing Angel

a poem by Aravindan Srinivasan

In the midst of the tumbling rain,
I saw a beautiful shine,
Wished I had thee
But the brightness covered the tree
I gasped in awwwh
Waiting for the twilight hour
And then I saw the angel of my dreams
She left in the muddle of the stream
I wished I could follow
But my feet went shallow
I prayed to god that she be there
To protect from human till hare
And thy she went
My eyes were dent
Looking at the footsteps
Alas I went to sleep.
