Searching in the Dark

a poem by Shah Pravinchandra Kasturchand

The night is pitch dark
Stars making it darker!
For this what light is?
Make the nights darker?

I look at climbing sun,
It is all fire ablaze;
Blotting all my vision,
Making day the darkest.

Its the twinkling stars
And sun’s blinding rays;
These are blocking bars
For eyes to see the days.

I now search my lost days
Into those dark corners;
If any one has any trace
Trace me among searchers.

(More dark the night, greater number of the stars in the sky.
Look into blazing sun and one becomes almost blind for the time being.
