Life’s Philosophy

a poem by Abraham Oommen

Hold fast and let go,
Come we fists clenched
And go we hands open.
Hold fast to life’s
Sparkling and brilliance,
Grandeur and splendour.
Learn to loose and let go.
How can you hold on all
In thine hands so little?
Thine deeds on earth,
Weaves a timeless pattern.
Flesh perishes, hands wither,
Live on what thou
Create in beauty here,
For all time to come.
Free of greed and strife,
Have a future lit up with
Radiant colours of hope.
