Haikus from Porto

a poem by Jan Oskar Hansen

Beautiful the pampas
When horses gallops across
Its cosmic lushness.

Yellow straw screech
When mice are in a flurry.
Hush, the cat got ears.

In afternoon heat
When canines are fast asleep
Flies swap dogs.

Winter cold women
Transform into airy dreams
In the summer heat.

The peaceful poet
Loves watching war movies
Rejects violence.
