Nature Watch

a poem by Mohamed Shuaib

Sometimes I wonder staring at the stars
How come they hang-up faraway in the dark,
I can’t understand it,
I jus’ praise the worth of the lord.

The stars vanish in the morning
To bring the sun shine,
And the sun-sets in the evening
To let the moon to shine in the dark.

O God, I still can’t
Understand Yer grace
For even the silent trees and
Mountains praise Your high place

I’m like a little lamp burning on the earth,
Watching Yer games that plays on earth,
O Lord, give me too a little power now
To swallow the mystery of Your worth.

When I sit on high place,
Almost half of Your world at my sight.
I see everything,
The moving clouds to burst some where,
The stars twinkling in the space,
And the trees in the dark
Protecting the birds in their arms,
And the giant mountains standing
Saying all about their higher grounds.

Lord, I still can’t understand Your place,
For even the tiny creatures praises Yer high place.
O God, give me too a little power now
To swallow the mystery of Your worth.

O Lord, I still can’t understand Your grace.
