My Poems

a poem by Purushothama Rao R

At times my poems
Look like sea gulls strewn all around
The strands of sands and very often
They appear to me like crystal clear pearls
Dug from the deeper depths of the silent sea

They do try all means
And strive in all ways
Like the nectar of literature
Springing new tones of loving life

They always shower affection
To turn the dried grass to shine as green pasture
And believes in tendering leaves
To all the nude branches of autumn

They quench the thirst of the deserts of drought
They shine clear sun in the winter sheens
They shower rain drops on the summer sulks
They are my loving letters scribbled as poems
