My Love

a poem by Jagganathan V

For once I want to hear those words from your mouth,
For once I want to clarify that genuine doubt,
Whether you love me with all your heart?
Though we may live miles apart;

Dear it pains, you have made my life uneasy,
I have gone nuts, you’ve driven me crazy;
Restless I am not able to concentrate on anything,
Never mind, life without you signifies nothing.

It take years, my real love you may fail to understand,
If that happens, I will be a dead man walking on this land.
A day will come, when my true love you will realise,
That day the earth shall change into a paradise.

A mad man I’ve become, suffering in silence,
A weak man now, I cannot win you in violence;
For the sake of living, I live a life,
Life serves a purpose, when you become my wife.
