Pollution… Pollution

a poem by Moses H Ezekiel

We all endure agony of pollution,
Water pollution, Sound pollution,
And all sorts of resource pollution.
But what affects us all,
Innermost to the core,
Without our knowledge,
Is our thought-pollution!

Our thoughts, the spring source of words,
Make up our actions.
Repeated thoughts make repeated actions,
Culminating into habits,
And habits form our character,
And character makes or mars our destiny.

Man is truly the architect of his own destiny,
If only he could choose the right thoughts.
Negative thought impulses,
Generate negative energy,
Giving birth to anger, hatred, jealousy, and greed,
Positive thought vibrations of a single mind,
Can change the world for better.

Negative thoughts sap vital energy,
And consume a lot of mind-space,
And belittle the abilities of man.

Clear and pure thoughts, even in one mind,
Instill peace and radiate happiness all around.
So let us try stopping this thought-wave-pollution,
And make this world a better place to live.
