Let me complete my life!

a poem by Ritesh Haldankar

Let me look abound in everything,
Let me graze through destiny in vain.
As I carve out fortitude of my being,
Let me create this phoenix once again.

As I resurrect everyday welcoming the ray,
Let me harness the loudness of the day.
Let me discount the scorching bitterness,
So that sweetness may make its way.

Need of the body,
Need of the mind,
May all needs be divine.
As I carve out my philosophy,
Without any thoughts of malign.

Sure I am that one day I’d be gone.
Leaving everything incomplete.
So, worthless to strain on all that’s bygone;
‘Cause I know this life won’t repeat.
