Inevitably Unbelievable

a poem by Mabel Annie Chacko

Just pull the curtains
A bit apart,
and the whole mighty universe
unfolds in front of you,

Planets colliding!
Galaxies drifting!
What not can you see?
And that joy to know that
You stand as the one
and only one big body
Amongst it!

How marvelous it is!
And yet too hard to believe
That you are just one of those
Millions of dust particles in Space,
How unbelievable it is!

And still hard to believe
Is that you are as minute as
an electron particle
Just dangling away,
Sometime, somewhere,
Between time and creation,
How inevitably unbelievable!
