Double-click

a poem by Ramesh Narasimhan

A photo taken, a moment so dear;
A mouse in repair, a computer near.
Sometimes, a double-click takes away the heat;
Sometimes, a nation’s destiny depends on a feat.

Photo a kangaroo, or an ape;
Why need a zoo to gape?
Photo an event, like a nova or goal;
I don’t need one of a stupid mole.

Double-click a mosque, church or temple;
Or a gurgling baby’s dimple.
D’you need to double-click, here’s one for keeps;
Not a lizard, nor a roach that creeps.
