It’s been a while

a poem by Teesha Guliana

It’s been a while,
Since I’ve felt,
The harsh wind bellowing,
Onto my fingertips.

It’s been a while,
Since words,
Left my lips,
Waiting to unveil glee.

I can feel it in the air,
In the summer rains that follow,
In the blue blooms,
Looming in the dark.

I can feel it under my skin,
In the lightening zaps which seem,
To gather dust,
Floating around.

The impending gloom,
Speaks to me,
It’s unimportance,
Is known to thee.

I’ve closed my eyes,
A contented sigh.

When everything is paired,
There is no one,
To be spared.
