In your absentia’s sway

a poem by Siva

I miss you very much, Dearest, on this hard hard day;
My mind, depressed and sunk deep in your thoughts, pains
For your soothing presence by me, to ease off its pain!
My eyes, long for that look of yours,-graceful and gay-
And for the warmth of your smile that rids me off my dismay-
My ears too search out to where your melody rings and reigns;
And my heart palpitates, in pangs of stressful strains,
As my whole body frets and fumes in your absentia’s sway!
Be it known my Dearest, that this is my pathetic state,
Even during a brief span of your unbearable absence;
My patience gets killed and my surrounds frustrate
Leaving me dormant, perplexed and morbidly tense!
Hence, come back soon, Dearest; hug me on to your bosom
So that, as the pains efface, we merge as one and ‘Love-won’!!
