A Prayer thro’ your Smile

a poem by Siva

Sleep well, my Dearest, sleep tonight, in peace;
Let the ‘morrow dawn, livening up our ‘dreams’-
Fair and just- with no greed-tainted schemes!
Pray, our mind, be rid of those incessant worries,
Which make it dormant, loitering around vagaries.
And, be it known, that ‘a smile’ of yours redeems
And rejuvenates the faintest wick of ‘Hope’, even as it seems
Too dark and clueless, to wade thro’ life’s teeming miseries!
Hence, utter not, Dearest, that you’re off the mood, sad;
For it squeezes, my pre-shrunken melancholic mind
And de-activates it, leaving me incohesive and mad!
Help me to ‘stand up’ and live, with a vision ‘refined’,
That views the purple and barren pitches of this life,
As His resultant disposition of our numerous propositions!
