The most beautiful of all…

a poem by Sinduja Ragunathan

The most beautiful of all is water,
said my chemistry sir, Mr Peter.

The most beautiful of all is work,
said the hard working bank clerk.

The most beautiful of all is nature,
said my wise biology teacher.

The most beautiful of all is peace,
said the church preacher’s niece.

The most beautiful of all is the sun,
said my chemistry sir, Mr Ken.

The most beautiful of all is beauty,
said the actress who was very haughty.

The most beautiful of all is noun,
said English professor, Mr Brown.

Service is most beautiful,
said the doctor, who was very dutiful.

Past is the most beautiful of all,
said the history lecturer, Mr Paul.

Money is the most beautiful of all,
said the businessman who was six feet tall.

But I will surely say that,
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL OF ALL,
is a child’s innocence after all!
