Unsung Melodies

a poem by Nav Chandi

Whatever song that is sung, in the tune I desire;
The eyes from above that help my soul feel inspired.

Cries of a man, who has lost someone dear;
Will it happen again is what he most fears.

Guilt consuming a soul, from things left undone and unsaid;
One cannot remake an already made bed.

Guilt consuming a soul, from things left undone and unsaid;
No one else really knows what goes on in my head.

Tears from within that remain unwept;
Promises forgotten, now remaining unkept.

Words unspoken, because the truth may cause pain;
Emotions inside, that could drive a man insane;

If a tear is not wept, the feeling will remain;
Everyone is different, not everyone grieves the same.

Dedicated to the memory of
Kartar S. Marok, Joginder S. Chandi, and Gurjit S. Chandi,
who remain in our hearts forever.
