Hope

a poem by Natasha Girglani

It’s branches so bear
with no leaves of care,
in a frazzled expression
adumberating depression,
as it altruistically awaits
the opening of nature’s gates
to happiness, cheer and delight.
Out of the world of ordeals
where oppression it feels
to a planet of joy
brought by hope’s good ploy
for this hopeful boy
this tree whose faith the worst didn’t annoy,
the gates of nature – forever shall smile.
