Growing More In Faith

a poem by Benna Rao Goli

The sea is calm, no worries seen
But then the clouds, Satan’s keen;
My boat is tossed and thrown out
As I did rely on myself, I begin to doubt.

All the trials took away my smile
As a result I’ve to row extra mile;
I’ve driven all through hate and pain
Through devious lies, and heavy rain.

Then occurred the thought of growing more,
Growing more in faith in One who opens the door;
Eventually all the pain left as it came
Clouds cleared and the life is not the same.

I think, the test I get is to feel His touch,
Keeping faith in Him who gave so much;
Next, when I’m down and out, much to bear,
He would clear the clouds shining there.
