Give Freedom to God

a poem by Ramachandran Nair R

Give freedom to God,
To live in all beings,
Human beings to amoebas alike,
To live long ageless and timeless.

Imprison Him not, Oh! mortals,
Within four walls of mortars,
Named temple or synagogue,
Or church or mosque or prayer hall,
Making a pray of all God seekers.

Oh! mortal marketers and racketeers of God,
Stop prisoning Him any more,
To live with all beings,
As God is one for everyone,
And He loves to be free,
To live as one in all lives alike.

If this prayer is not heeded,
And God is not given the freedom,
He long for and waited for so long,
The walls shall be broken,
Escape the prison of mortals,
And proceed to live in all beings alike,
As God of everyone and everything,
While the cry ‘God is one for everyone’
Get diluted in the thin air,
While the criers get tired and go weary.

Oh! Mortals give freedom to God,
And also give yourself the freedom,
To walk fast towards immortality,
To live ageless and timeless,
As inseparably one with God,
As God’s own children in God’s own home.
