From Dawn to Dusk

a poem by Swapan Dutta Roy

In the dark when the sun’s fast a sleep, moon is awake doing his job,
Manning the stars and the planets, Putting to sleep every individual.
Giving orders to the ocean about the flow,
Taking advantage of it, the owl sets for its food, the mice too gets into act.
The little birds who had lost their way take shelter for the night.
As the peacemaker, the moon walks to awake the sun,
the birds break their sound quite early as they have to go long,
and the morning sun will help him to pass through all difficulties with ease.
