Dancing Snowflakes

a poem by Smriti Kak

Like the snow-queen
Rustle
The frothy white
Blow
The tiny flakes
And
Watch the dance

Swaying
Like a swing
Merry
Like a child
Lighter
Than a tear-drop

Perches
On the lashes
Melts
In the palm
Catch
Lest it falls

Gaze
No more just
Blow
The tiny flakes
And
Watch the dance
