Crazy Love

a poem by Chetan Bhatia

Perhaps I had a wicked childhood,
perhaps I had a miserable youth;
but somewhere in my wicked and miserable past,
I had a moment of truth.

For you are standing in front of me and loving me,
I don’t know whether you should;
but somewhere in my youth or childhood,
I must have done something good.

Your affection has changed me as a person,
your magic has changed my view;
I no more consider love to be really love,
until it is love by you.

Crazy is what I became,
when I first saw you;
crazy is what I become,
when I don’t find you around;
crazy is what I am,
in your love so true;
crazy it may sound,
that I only love you.
