It seems to me today,
Amidst all this confusion,
That we have lost our way,
As a people, as a nation.
We are excited about tomorrow,
A tomorrow we haven’t seen,
But on the way we have trampled upon,
What was once our identity.
Please don’t bury the past,
In your distant memories,
Wake up – get out of your flats,
Feel the air in your balconies.
We once lived for simple joys,
And we lived so out of choice,
Lets understand that this simplicity,
It is what makes us a great country.
