Your looks…

a poem by Sanal Kumar

Your looks
nails me into a frame
as a portrait,
I became
helpless as if in its cage
unlikely to be released
emotions locked.

You turn me into
a frozen apple in the refrigerator
how long I have to suffer this
coldness of my loneliness
and wait to feel
the warmth of your hands.

You capture me
like an image by camera
which lie on the dark room
of your heart
and waiting for that time
you would pick me up and
dip me into the
chemical of your love
and bring the colours
in to my blackened heart.

You make me
dead with no trace of motion.
Once dead there is no life.
But you can bring back
my life
with just a touch of wand
of your magical presence.
