Mind to Love

a poem by Elaine E. Howie

I have a mind to love you boo
a mind to hold you too.
I have a mind to teach you boo
all that I have told you.
I have a mind to somehow get inside your head.
A mind boo to remind you of what I have said.

And with this mind I love you boo,
with this I show you true.
The Love that I can give you is nothing you should fear,
the arms I use to wrap you in are soft as shadowy silk.
The heart I choose to fold you in is as sweet as mothers milk.

I have a mind to love you boo,
and nothing can change that.
Even if you were there to scold me boo,
it would be like rat a tat tat.
I will seep into your most inner thoughts,
and pull you to my love.
And when I finally get you boo,
you would be alright with that.

I would write your name upon my soul,
and send it to you raw.
And when you whisper it at night,
you would hear a small cat call.
You see I have a mind to love you today,
and this is true in every which a way.

I would love you boo, and then I would hear you say

You have a mind to love me boo,
and yes I love you too.
Just like the wind so softly I would appear,
right next to you at nighttime I would be,
and guess what I would whisper.
Scoot over boo, let me lay in your arms, all
you could think to do is tease me with your charms.

So boo until I hear from you again
I have this mind to love you until the very
end.
