Little Lilly

a poem by Lakshminarayana K

My love is not a red rose
But a lily sans a thorn
Smiling in dew every morn
Dispels all my bitter woes.

Stately in her silk-dress
In the seasons of rain and cold
Bears the blasts with all bold
Brings for me fine redress.

Lily little shining white
On the stem of delight.
