Freelance Romance

a poem by Chetan Bhatia

Neon lights steal away shine of the moon,
pollutants add new flavours to the city air,
smog paints new shades in the night sky;
booze in me and flesh in you,
brings out true love in and I.
Through out the ages,
we made everybody fool,
to quench our thirst to release;
in the name of love, feelings and emotions,
we wasted lot of time,
running around garden and trees.
Seeing you in skimpy clothes,
cleavage, bosoms, buns, appeal,
make me feel weak in my knees;
let me taste you my sweety pie,
worry not I’ll pay the tip and the full fees.
With greed, lust and desire,
and other feelings less than few;
flagged off the discharge of light brigade,
with a rubber armour to my rescue.
