Greatness

a poem by PCVC

Greatness, thou soul with same values
Through the desert of despair
And amidst ocean of fear
Deep in the caves of maladies
Up over the spring of hopes

Greatness, thou soul of courage
Faces the crank called chance
Strengthens to guard the rules
Leads those who look unto thee
With the might to speak thy heart

Greatness, thou soul full of charity
Treats thee one amongst the race
Owns the race as thy body
Pours kindness into every creature
And awaits not a moment of honor

Greatness, thou soul de acumen
Blessed to think and think rational
Dares to dream the age to come
Maketh thou life an odyssey
Enlightens thyself and share the light

Greatness, thou soul that ever smiles
In success and torment alike
Treats near and those far, the same
Shares pleasures with the world
And soothes the pain of thy fellows
