Jagadhatri

a poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Jagadhatri
Though derivative of Tantra
Owing origin to
Rather than Rajas and Tamas gunas,
Tendencies or qualities,
Here the Divine
In the form of Jagadhhatri,
The Motherly Rupa
So serene and sedate
From whom the universe is upheld,
The rearer of the world,
The bearer of it all,
A symbol of sattva
Representing calm composure,
Goodness, positivity, truth,
Serenity, balance, peace
And virtue
Leading to Dhamma and Jnana.
