Rocky Hearts

a poem by Srikanth Varma

Rocks are your gods, rock like is your heart,
Rocks can make you walk miles on mountain tops,
But your rocky hearts will never let you to reach a poor fellow,
Who is bread and butter short,
Millions you might have spent to win the grace of your god,
But tell me how many coins you have slipped in to a hungry beggar’s pot,
Worshiping a rock you should not let your heart to become a rock,
Rocks may be your gods, but rocks should not be your hearts!!
