Feelings

a poem by Satish Kakri

Life, without feelings,
is sky without stars.
With feelings you swing,
Or your joy is marred.

Feelings work best when you control;
no good, if these reject your intellect’s role.

Feelings can aid your motivation;
bring courage to face any situation.

Feelings may, also, bring you down;
make you a coward or even a clown

Feeling is pleasure; feeling is sorrow
it is your own, you can’t beg or borrow.

Feelings bring out the best in man (or woman)
Feelings, too, make him worst as he can.
