Endless Wait

a poem by Inchara

My surroundings are thronging with people,
But my inner self is screaming for attention
I can hear the joyous laughter around me,
But for my soul it seems like thundering noise
My inner self is surrounded with the cloud of emptiness
My heart is yearning for a ray of love
My hands are in waiting for that gentle touch
My eyes are on the lookout for that special gaze
Oh I want to melt in the blissful embrace of my beloved
But why is love evading me? When will my endless wait end?
