My body speaks a new language,
The language of sickness and death;
Pain has become my new vocabulary,
And cough punctuates every breath.
Every verb shakes me up,
Suffocation is the new proper noun;
The play is not over yet,
Just the end of the jaded clown.
Tragedies end with breaking of the heart,
And so is all kind of black humor;
On the left, life giving heat abodes,
And the right nests a life-taking tumor.
Sight of blood evokes mixed feelings,
The feelings of hatred and denial;
No matter how many needles puncture my body,
None will breach the smile.
