Poem on Experience and knowledge

a poem by Chetan Bhatia

I am a child and you are not,
you have grown up and you are no more a child,
you have acquired few habits in growing,
you started feeling confident of your learning,
you have fortified your treasures,
the treasures you have acquired while growing,
now the wealth you collected,
makes you feel rich and big,
every now and then you withdraw some out of it,
to make others feel poorer than you,
maybe you have put some of it in fixed assets also,
you get some interest also,
perhaps your wealth is also expanding,
but your wealth is so important,
that you will not exchange it for anything,
your fixed asset is actually fixed,
you are confident about your assets,
so you will not take risks,
so you will not gain much,
thus your asset is depleting
inflation of time is eroding your wealth,
wake up and start earning,
your retirement has made you arrogant,
you are too arrogant to learn anything new,
arrogance is the toy of the child,
don’t be childish,
grow up.
