Diminishing Soul

a poem by Inchara

I come home everyday
With dreams in my eyes
I keep searching your face
For that affectionate gaze
Words scramble to fall out
And recount your silly actions
I wait for the night to set in
To snuggle in your embrace
Sleep eludes me unless
Your hands are in mine
Roses of my love might
Prick as thorns to you
How will I explain to you?
My heartfelt passion for you
Light within my heart is dimming
Slowly leading to darkness forever
