Silence

a poem by Sidharth Kumar

Deep within the woods
Surrounded by thoughts
As I begin to walk
I hear something strange
It’s the silence
The silence of the woods, silence in the woods
Deep and black, the silence
Asking me who I am
Where am I wandering
I am a loner, says me
Trying to create my way out
Confused in this maze
Ensnared in the cobweb of crisscrossed trees
All present in 360 degree
Simulating my bottled life
Making me nervous down the spine
Feel like running away
But where
Clueless where I came from
Don’t know where to go
How much time will I be here
And most importantly why I am here
Am I supposed to be here
I have work to do at home
Silence pauses and then replies,
Life is a struggling instance buddy
There may be more to come
Tumbling blocks at every step
Its dark in here
There is no one here
Say it isn’t so
It’s your ocean, you got to swim in it alone
There is an island somewhere
Conquer it
People like you meet me when in despair
Love is a two sided game
You have lost in it
But am sure you can find your path ahead
Let the light guide you
Let the innerself enlighten you
Abandon negative hopes
Sometimes pending questions have only one answer
Time will tell
Mind doesn’t always remain in pejorative state
Don’t try to calibrate life
It comes measured
Believe in yourself
Introspect while looking in a nearby lake water
You’ll find all answers
Don’t see the road curved ahead
It’ll look straight once you travel on it
Think hard, work hard, plan hard
For your success
Keep moving on cuz
All those who failed turned like me!
