Celestial Window

a poem by Satheesan Rangorath

A small window opens up
Smile of darkness zoom in
A flood of light beam through
Dissolving, in the depth of night

A light giggle echoes from infinite
Sprinkling sweet sounds of an anklet
A lady kneeling down looking
Collecting dried clothes from the line

Her loose night-gown sleeves flutter-
Like angelic wings
Night birds roving make a beeline-
Crouching on nearby branches
Angels look down through a veil of mist
Their dreamy eyes dropping dream every where

Their eyelashes spin delicate threads
Weaving, puffy soft gowns they wear
A shooting star flashes away, soon
A fairy appears in a Child’s dream
