Diamonds

a poem by Pooja Khanna

Wonderful sparkling diamonds
treasured by the royals everywhere;
all are bewitched by their charm
not a single mortal being spared.

Bright and beautiful diamonds
either big or small;
delicately strong and natural
romans discovered them all.

Like each little flower that opens
and blooms like a star;
diamonds spread its glowing colours
makes each heart blowing hard.

Cold winds in winter
and the hot summer sun;
diamonds are for every season
sigh! not made for everyone.

Diamonds as a bonding gift
make relations closer to heart;
and spreads the purity of love
to enjoy life with a good start.

The star of the south
the mountain of light;
makes the diamonds so precious
unexplainable by mere minds.
