Changing Hues of Life

a poem by Sundri

At the age of One, Colour was
In the sweet songs of Lullaby

At Five, I found colour
In fluttering wings of Butterflies

At Ten, my vision captured
Multicoloured kites soaring in the skies

At Twenty, the Colours of Love and Romance
Lit up my world and blinded my eyes

At Thirty, the Joys of Parenthood
Spanned like Rainbows across my Life

At Forty, Hues of Wealth and Success
To my struggles, kissed goodbye

At Fifty, I beheld myriad Dreams
Sparkling in my children’s eyes

At Sixty Health and Peace of Mind
Were the only colours for which I strived

At Seventy, I offer my Gratitude
To the Changing Hues of Colours
That have enriched my life!
