Rebirth

a poem by Hitesh Chandrakant Sheth Dr

Young man failing to clear examination,
Ditched by father and jilted by woman,
Overcome with remorse and renunciation,
Became monk and left the home.

On the way he had bad companion,
So he got hemp and other drugs addiction.
Weak-willed facing the Sun, starvation,
Hardships and malaria died with frustration.

Revengeful soul took birth as mosquito’s son,
And stung meditating saints with malaria germs,
So, killed them and increased his companions.
But crushed by saint and died with frustration.

Again born as human due to saint’s compassion,
But again he failed to clear examination.
