Bitter Sweet

a poem by Sheryl

Befooled am I, by those who seemed close,
That pliable mind of youth
At once when faced the reality, was filled with remorse
If only lies were bitter and sweet was the truth,
I would have talked my heart into believing,
That the ones around you weren’t who you expected
And my heart I would hear screaming,
Certain decisions I should have not accepted.
