An urge for justice,
Slowly rises within the heart,
But ebbs soon by reality,
As puppets after all we are.
Soul’s search for fairness,
Timidly whimpers into darkness,
As shadows are too smart,
For justice to make a start.
Truth fails and justice derails,
Pall of gloom prevails,
Materialism wins the race,
Leaving justice with no face.
Divine intervention is sought,
So that justice is not caught,
In a web of deceit,
Lost forever by conceit.
But justice will come,
If not always, at least once,
As mortality begins to surface,
And man seeks His Grace.
