Heart Beats

a poem by Rafel Michael

Timer never stops the tick sound
In each tick we grow bit by bit
Till our lost tick we live in this world
In each tick we grow older
There is a tick on our pulses
A tick we hear from our heart beats
To remind there’s a life in us
It’s counting our duration of life
That’s the duration between life and death
Timer never stops the tick sound
In each tick we grow bit by bit
The tick is everywhere
The students tick answer paper in exam hall
If the tick is in right place,
Another tick for him from the examiner

All of us put tick mark at least once in our life
What we tick is, as what we agreed to
To make our choice clearer
When as a new born, our first tick makes others happy
That’s the magnanimous tick for all around us
The first tick is the best tick that counts
The last tick is the worst tick that when
Our death knocks and seals our fate that’s when
Others cry for us when we are in the oblivion
We live with ticks
As the timer never stops the tick sound
Unless its life battery is finished
In each of our tick we grow bit by bit
If there is a life there is tick till our last tick
That’s when we say adieu to this world
