Temptations

a poem by Promila Chitkara

I weave dreams
Expensive dreams I weave
To turn them into reality
I make plans
I design myself;
make myself saleable
I am a commodity
To be sold in the market
I become a dream;
dream for others
they weave dream to buy me
they make a plan
they sell themselves
in some other market
in some other form
For any dream to come true
We all need money;
money can buy and sell
dreams and money
have become synonym
for each other.
