Birth of a Dream

a poem by Kalpana Tyagi

Wanna know my B’day?
I will give you a small hint:
Neither summer hot nor winter’s shivering,
It was a bright sunny morning with rains drizzling!
My Angel shyly nibbling her edges,
Coz in her womb she nurtured a dream.
Sky’s descending on earth:
To know if their queen was ‘paper-thin’
Angel had a little trouble and she knew anytime her dream will be there!
A little bit of labour and she was born.
My father in his cozy arms cuddled his rosy charm,
Blue was her cloth, absorbingly black her eyes,
Curly hair and chirpy smile bubbling with delight!
