Elegy written in the Earthquake

a poem by Gabriel

To say?
The day ended…
No. The day dawned with an end
With the dragging Sun collapsing beneath
The wailing walls
Pushing its way through the cranky face
Of the wide open shells
Of the earth.

O You!
Born unaware of
Tolled bells of quakes
Fell. Towards the shaky
Wide open cracks of the graves
To be the mean creatures of the Nature.

O you sinless
Born fetus of darkness!
You’ve been
Buried between the wombs
Laid safely
Amidst the crashed mud.

For whom tolled
You death knell?
But for every body
Could have
Tolled it for me,
Saving crushed Creatures.

O you open sinks
Of graves
You even shook
The Bells of the Tower
To fall
Deep down
To crush the
Wombs with the seeds
With their bleeding
Cries of bloods.

O Glories of Earth!
Never ring hereafter
For the Cries of the
Nipple children
Are louder
Than
The cracks of
Thy glories.
